An Everyday

I realized that I havent really done anything on this blog about my daily life.

I wake up every morning at 651 AM (Oh, ISA...).  I have usually been up since around 643 anyway though, because our dog Memo (pronounced may mo) sees shadows and barks almost every day.

I stumble out of bed to the living room.

Como amanecio, Margerie?  Bien.

And through to the shower.  But Andrew has claimed it.  Blast!   I stumble back into my bedroom, drop my towel and clothes on the floor, go to the table and start eating.  Gallo pinto, again?  Drink a cup of coffee and start to open my eyes for the first time.

Andrew finishes his shower about three quarters of the way through breakfast--gotta look good for the Ticas--and joins me at the table.  Como amanecio, Andrew?  Como... Ahmunisca?  Never mind.

Finish eating, do my dish, and shower.  Its 732.

Go online and waste 16 minutes (wish I could be asleep!).  BRO, Inside UCLA, Facebook, GMail, New York Times, Wall Street Journal.

Time to go.  Open gate.  Lock gate.  Open gate.  Lock gate.  Open gate.  Lock gate.

Hope to catch the bus!  We never do.  Walk to school.
It's like a ten minute walk.

Class starts at 8.  Break is 10-1030.  Class goes till 12.

Mondays and Weds soccer goes till 3.  We play on cement.
Tues and weds tutoring is 3-5 at ISA.

Gym is everyday--well, everyday I can remember to bring a towel.

After that, I go back and study vocab.  Ive gotten great at wasting time online.

Every day, I promise myself that Ill go to sleep earlier.  I never do.  Probably go out like 2/3 nights a week.  Kinda ready to come home, but hey--its a weekday.  Weekends I travel!

(Off) Week--Saturday

Saturday, we decided to check out the festival in Puntarenas, a beach town like 2 and a half hours from San Jose.  Don't really know why there was a festival, but it was HUGE.

It was me, Steve, and Bret again.

At the end of the road (maybe after a mile of festival) was a concert.

People in tree

We hung out there, just relaxing mostly, and came back to San Jose after a couple hours.

Cops in the Background...ah CR

(Off) Week--Friday

On Friday we went back to the Orosi Valley because the ladies working downstairs in the registrars office at Veritas had told me the day before that there were lakes and waterfalls there.  This time it was the whole crew--minus Whit because she'd sprained her ankle.

Orosi is a tiny town, but definitely "lindisimo" as they say.

The registrar ladies also told me there was a restaurant on top of one of the hills with an amazing view of the valley, so we set out to find that.  Never made it, but we found a sweet dirt road that had some great views.

Worth it.  But a car drove past us, and at this point it was pretty clear we were into private property, so we turned back.  Everyone had to be home for Tico dinner, so we took the bus home almost immediately when we got back to Orosi.

But we had to transfer in Cartago again, and walking to the station we happened on some sweet ruins.

And a church.

That was it, though.
