Heredia is for Boots

So, this weekend was my Tropical Ecology Class fieldtrip to Estacion Biologia La Selva (just at the eastern edge of Braulio Corillo--one of the coolest national parks in Costa Rica).

Reportedly, La Selva has a high concentration of Fer De Lance snakes, so we were all required to get rubber boots for the trip.

In class on Thursday, I heard tell that boots in Heredia were cheaper than they were in San Jose.  And even though this was in all likelihood a lie--Heredia is a lot smaller than San Jose--I wanted to check Heredia out because ISA has a program there.

Turns out, we got jipped with the whole SJ thing--Heredia was awesome.  We found said boots, and spent the rest of the day exploring.  Some of the businesses didn't even have barred windows!!  There were also farmers markets and live shows in the park and all that.

Naturally, we quickly found a bar and proceeded to spend about 6 hours there.
